It’s officially spring and now is the perfect time to explore Sustainability. Here are our top 3 ways to be more sustainable.
- One of the easiest ways to do this is when shopping; are you shopping sustainably? This could be as simple as checking whether what you are buying is Fairtrade or organic.
Alternatively, your action could be as simple as remembering to reuse your carrier bags; not only are you saving the planet, you’re also saving yourself some money.
- Sustainability is easier to get your teeth into when you do it together with like-minded people.
At The Union there are over 110 societies across both our campuses – some are specifically related to sustainability in what they do but other societies can be sustainable in the way they are run. Have a look which ones interest you.
- Finally, don’t miss our workshop; ‘Sustainability: From re-using carrier bags to changing the world’ 14:00 – 15:00 on Wednesday 25 May in Meeting Rooms 6 and 7 in The Union.
The session will be full of great ways you can make a difference and realistic ways to put sustainability into practice.
