Get involved with Birley Orchard!

In October 2015, the Birley Community Orchard was planted, housing 20 varieties of apple, plum, cherry and pear trees. The trees have settled in and have survived the winter months, but now spring has sprung and they need some TLC!

Come along and take part in our Spring Orchard Maintenance Workshop, led by Hulme Garden Centre on March 9th, 1.30-3.30pm. You will learn how to secure the trees and ensure they are free form pests and diseases, hopefully guaranteeing a bountiful fruit harvest come summer.

All equipment needed will be provided. This session is open to all.

MMU students can collect 2 bronze MMU Futures points for attending the session.
