This ace workshop on 25 November is designed to get you thinking about the impact of waste on our world in a fun environment where you’ll get to be creative and use your imagination to make yourself a new shopping bag made from old items and materials.
You will be shown examples for inspiration and will be guided by experts to bring out and develop your own ideas. They will then help you put your designs into action by transforming an item/textile into a shopping bag. Materials will be provided for you, but feel free to bring along anything you’d like to ‘upcycle’!
This workshop won’t just get you thinking about sustainability and the impact what we use has on the environment, but it will get you thinking creatively which is a great skill to have! PLUS you’ve got a cheap and sustainable idea for Christmas presents for friends and family. Bingo!
You will receive 2 bronze points towards the MMU Futures Award for taking part in this workshop
