Do you think current drug policy is unfair and unjust? Do you think people should be free from the persecution of the War on Drugs? If so, this film screening at MMU on Thursday might just be for you.
The film hopes to reflect the aims of the SSDP, which includes to build a more tolerant society where young people are equipped with the knowledge to make better choices about drugs; to educate and inform the public about the interconnections between drug policy on a local, national and international level; to raise awareness that drug policy sits on the intersection of numerous issues including health policy, human rights, international development and ending social discrimination and to promote drug policies based on evidence, human rights and tolerance rather than ideology.
This event screening of ‘The Culture High’, has been organised by Students for Sensible Drug Policy Manchester (SSDP) and Drugsafe UK in partnership with MMU Make a Difference and the Department of Sociology. The screening will take place from 5-8pm in room G,26 of the New Business School on Thursday 19th March. Attending this event will be rewarded with two bronze points towards the MMU Futures Award. Refreshments will be on offer from 5pm.
